RAPTURE

Rapture is a wall installation composed of 74 individually monoprinted lengths of hosho paper, suspended in seven gradated levels that echo how we experience the landscape, from soil to canopy. Evoking the sensation of a slow walk through the bush, the work layers monoprinted motifs drawn from native flora and textures, merging with gestural lines and granular salt-made marks that suggest temporal landscapes. Light filters through the paper’s surface, revealing quiet shifts in colour, rhythm and memory. The paper itself holds presence: strong yet sensitive, allowing the work to exist between print and sculpture, image and air. Rapture becomes a quiet meditation on belonging, landscape, and reverence—a tender mapping of gratitude for the land I now call home.
